2005. Another year.
We all here at Tower Games hope
you had a great Christmas and New Year.
This year we are expecting bigger and better things to happen
here at Tower Games. We are (slowly, sometimes a bit too
slow for our liking) getting there. We hope to have some
new and different games, new battles for Line of Muskets,
and a much improved mechanism for our members to get a game.
Getting more games; The Games Room
We know, and you know, we all
have busy lives. And we all know that even though we want
a game of Line of Muskets, there is not always someone in
the games room to have a game with. Which can be a real
bummer for those who want a game.
The (sorf of) funny thing about this is that we have literally
thousands of members out there who would all like to play
a game BUT just don't jump into the Games Room at the same
time.
So we are working on ways to make this easier, to enable
players to start games whether both people are in the Games
Room or not. We are currently developing the system to let
you do this and we hope to have some good news shortly.
Then it will be much easier for everyone to "meet and
greet" and have a game.
Emailing other players that you have a "saved
game" with.
Of course, you can still play
"Hotseat" with other players. That is, if you
have already started a game you don't both have to be online
to continue it. Through the Rejoin Game function (which
is now a button in the Games Room) you can each do your
turn and then email the other player to let them know you
have done your turn. This is a great way to keep a game
ticking over if you can't seem to get back online at the
same time.
The place to find the email function is in the chat window
for a game.
Strategy Articles.
And, if you have any interesting
articles about the American Civil War, strategy, tactics,
or whatever, please send them along. We may put them on
the site. However, you must assure us that you are the author
of the article and not infringing anyone's copyright.
That's all for now. See you next time.
Regards,
From Chris, the editor, and every one at Tower Games.
