Player Ranking for our online, multiplayer, java games
Player Ranking
Every Tower Games member has a rank for each online game
they play. The ranks range from
(never played this game) to
(supreme warlord).
A player at rank
for a game will automatically be promoted to rank
after they
have completed any scenario of that game.
To be promoted to rank
or higher a player must earn rank points, which
are awarded at the completion of any scenario
where tokens were required to play (i.e. not the
free scenarios). The number of rank points to
reach the higher ranks are as follows:
15
200
800
50
350
1100
100
550
1500
Gaining Rank Points
The number of rank points assigned
after a game has finished depends on how well your
side did and how tough your opposition are considered
to be.
The game itself assigns a level
of success to each side from "Major Failure" through
"Average" to "Major Victory". The challenge level
varies from "Negligable" to "High" and is determined
by comparing each player's rank to the rank of
their opponent. Where there is more than one player
on a side the side's average player rank is used
as the opponent rank for each player on the other
side. Also a player on a side with an average
rank lower than her player rank sets that player's
challenge a little higher (They have to carry
more weight for the team). Conversly a player
on a side with an average rank higher than his
own has a lower level of challenge.
The number of rank points assigned
to a player can be found in the following table
by cross referencing the success level with the
challenge level.
