Buddy List

The Tower Games Buddy List allows you to keep contact with your personal friends (people you know in real life, not virtual life) and members you've met here and arrange games with them easily.

You can make other members your buddies, email your buddies, start up "private" games with your buddies, etc. In short, build some real relationships (be they virtual or real) and play games with people you know.

On the other hand if some others annoy you, you can block them. Hey, not everyone on the internet is a nice person (but we like to think everyone here at Tower Games is).

How to Build your Buddy List

1.

When you are in the Games Room at the bottom left you will see the buttons that control your Buddy List.

2.

When you click on "Manage All" the following window will open.

This is self-explanatory (I hope). It tells you who you've sent invitations to, who are your contacts and who your buddies are. You can ONLY email my buddies, no one else.

3.

When other people are in the Games Room, if you click on their name the button "Change Selected" will highlight.

4.

Then you can "Change their relationship." The following window will open and allows you to add them to your contact list, send an invite to them to become a buddy, or even block them (if they have done something very annoying to you)

5.

When you propose a game you can also decide whether to make it a Public or a Private proposal (see Getting Started for more information).

6.

If you select Private another window will open that allows you to specifically say who is invited to join the game. Only those who are invited will be able to see the proposal in the Games Room.

7.

If you propose a Public proposal you can do a "once-off" block to those on your buddy and contact list. Perhaps you've played someone a dozen times and you just want a change, or whatever reason.

For example, for the following proposal everyone in the Games Room will be able to see it except Danny and Eric.

8.

Sometimes you will receive invites from other members to become their buddies. When you enter the Games Room your Buddy List will automatically open.

You then have to click on their name and then click on "Change Selected". When you do this next window will open, which lets you decline or accept the invite.

Please be aware that until you click either "decline" or "accept" the invite will continue to appear until you do something with it.
