Online
Games is what Tower Games is all about.
Our philosophy is to bring internet users the best browser-based
games possible, in the most cost-effective way possible. We also believe
the games should be good and fun to play (and make sense).
We also STRONGLY believe that it is far better to play
another human than it is to play another computer (either
they cheat or they are just too easy to beat). Come and
check us out and see what we mean.
Online games for every one
Because our site uses Java, it is possible for anyone
to play them (assuming the publsher of your operating
system has a Java version 1.4.1). This means that just
about anyone can play with just about anyone. No matter
what operating system you have, just download Java and
join in.
Fast delivery over the Internet
We use technology allowing you and your
friends to play without purchasing any software,
having to get downloadable files, or configuring
your computer systems. It is this same technology
that allows our online games to be fast,
very fast, even over a standard dial-up
internet connection.
You don't even have to worry that our games may not work
in the future (because of operating systems, driver
files, hardware, etc, have not been upgraded). As long
as you have Internet access and an email address, you
can have a great game, especially if you invite your
friends.
Good, Quality Games
By working with independant 3rd party developers,
we will be bringing you the best internet
games over the next few years, ones that
focus on good game-play rather than fancy
graphics. Sure, the games have to look nice.
But the game should not suck when the graphics
look fantastic.
Wargames for
those who like wargames
Many major companies have more or less
dropped all wargames from their catalogues.
And I don't mean Real Time Strategy. I mean
the old hex based games that attempted to
represent historical battles with historical
units and tactics and required genuine strategy
to play.
Sure, First Person Shooters have their
place. But ever since they were invented
as a genre, the old stategy type wargames
have been forgotten by the major companies.
Considering it was this genre that helped
create the computer games market, it seems
sad that it has been thrown in the bin.
Well, we intend to bring these types of
computer wargames back, but in a new and
more attractive way.
Play
with friends
You
can invite friends to join. When they join, you will be
informed they have joined, and you will both receive a
reward. For more information, read Help,
Invite Friends. Our games are simple and fast, and there
is something for everyone....
Easy-to-play
All of our games have been designed so
that they are easy to play, and are attractive
to anyone. No previous experience required.
Just about all commands are on the screen,
driven through menus. Simply click on a
unit, be it a brigade, artillery battery,
soccer player, starship, etc, choose the
command you want, and then point your unit
in the direction you want it to move, shoot,
kick the ball, charge, etc.
No
need to remember complex rules
All
of the complex "number crunching" happens
well away from the playing board and so the
game is kept fresh and exciting. Instead of
you having to concentrate on how to make the
rules work for you, your job is to concentrate
on the playing of the game. So join in the
fun and play games with your friends.
Wanted. Game Developers with their
own ideas and concepts
We are always on the look out for developers
who would like to become part of our development
community and have their own game published.
Whether you have a great game design,
are a brilliant programmer, graphic
artist, or have other skills that
can add value to designs, we would
love to hear from you. Because we
have a new and up-to-date business
model, unlike many traditional game
publishers, we are delighted to work
with independent game developers and
designers, where a source of revenue
can be generated for both us.
If
you would like to know more, please
contact us. Please say a bit about
yourself and about your game concept.
You will then be contacted by
our appropriate development staff
to discuss future opportunities.
